Aleta Angelosante, PhD, is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the NYU Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, where she serves as Clinical Director of the Anxiety and Mood Disorder Service. Dr. Angelosante received her PhD in Clinical Psychology from Temple University and completed her post-doctoral fellowship at Boston University’s Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders (CARD). Dr. Angelosante treats children and families with depressive disorders, anxiety disorders, and related disorders (e.g., Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Tourette’s Disorder, and Trichotillomania). In addition to direct clinical expertise, Dr. Angelosante also has extensive experience teaching and training. Dr. Angelosante has achieved Training Professional status with Practicewise’s Managing and Adapting Practice (MAP) and is currently Lead Trainer at and Clinical Director of the Evidenced-Based Treatment Dissemination Center, leading trainings for mental health practitioners throughout New York State Office of Mental Health facilities in evidence-based treatments for youth and families. She supervises social work, psychology, and psychiatry trainees and has been awarded for her teaching and training efforts.
