Danielle A. Kaplan, Ph.D. is a clinical psychologist in New York City and a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the NYU School of Medicine. She has a long history of treating patients in inpatient, outpatient, and community mental health settings and was the director of NYU-Bellevue’s Predoctoral Psychology Internship. Dr. Kaplan is a fellow of the Academy for Cognitive Therapy. She has designed and taught CBT courses at the graduate level at Northwestern University, the Ferkauf Graduate School at Yeshiva University, and the NYU Psychiatry Residency program. She is also an active member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine's Mental Health Professional Group and currently serves as the group’s representative to the Executive Committee of the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology. Dr. Kaplan writes and presents on issues related to CBT supervision, reproductive psychology, and perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. She has written book chapters on perinatal anxiety, perinatal depression, and vicarious traumatization and is currently editing a volume on cultural responsiveness in infertility care. Along with Dr. Cory Newman, Dr. Kaplan is the co-author of the book Supervision Essentials in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, published by the American Psychological Association.
