Abstract Text: There is an ample body of research on best practices for the treatment of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), with substantial support for the use of evidence-based practices (EBPs) including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE). There is also a robust body of research on the training and implementation of these modalities within the VA system of care, but far less research on how these modalities have been integrated into non-VA treatment settings. This poster will provide the results of a training implementation survey conducted among clinicians from the Cohen Veterans Network (CVN), a non-governmental non-profit network of outpatient mental health clinics that serve veterans, active duty service members, and military family members in a targeted treatment model. CVN has provided its clinicians with high-quality training and consultation support for CPT and PE for several years, but to date has not conducted a systematic assessment of the post-training implementation of these EBPs. A survey is currently under development to assess the implementation of CPT and PE among CVN staff who have completed internally-provided trainings on those modalities, and will investigate: 1) perceived supports for implementation, 2) perceived barriers to implementation, 3) clinician attitudes towards the modalities, and 4) any differences between the modalities in items 1-3. This survey will be modeled on the VA’s CPT implementation surveys and trends will be compared. Results are expected in early fall 2024. As the goal of high-quality training is to support consistent implementation of best practices, these results will help to illuminate the supports needed to capitalize on investments in training and help clinicians provide the best care possible to clients with PTSD.
